My DVD Rewritable always say No disc in drive ?
Hello, i have sony dvd rw model (DRU-830A) , it was work perfict intel one time i start to burn a dvd and i cancel the burn prossece , since that it always say to me No disc in drive i have a 2nd drive i try the cd on it and i work fine , So it is crashed ?

Try shutting down, disconnecting the drive (both power and ide cable). Restart the machine without the drive connected, make sure it has fully booted (no egg timers). Now shut down and reconnect the drive, boot straight into the bios and have the bios detect the drive. Then allow it to boot to windows...
Failing that, try a firmware update.

I try all this thing tomorrow i`ll return it back i just have it from 2 weeks i hope they will change it

It was work fine but when i cancel the burn its stop !!

Thanks alot NooNoo and Mat , i already return it to the shop and they say if they counld not fix it to day they will give my new one

Tey change the drive for my but i don`t found white drive so eather i take my maney and wait or take black drive so i take the black one and its work fine with me even my case is white

Funny thing - the several sites I checked for that particular model all claim it comes with BOTH black and white faceplates/drawer covers.
