    Question File Permsiion Error NT4 and Word 2000

    Hi All,

    We have a problem with Word2000 on Windows 9x Clients. The Error occurs on a our File and Print server (Windows NT4.0 SP6a) which has a RAID 5 Controller.

    When the user saves from a second time onwards (generally, as the problem is not consistent). The Error is "Word Cannot Complete the Save due to a File Permission Error".

    Obviously we have checked the permissions for the File, Folder and Share. TechNet has a Q Article (Q251474) Which mentions this error. We have followed the suggestive steps but to no avail.

    The RAID 5 Array has 3 x 9GB Drives and currently has 1.34GB free. The RAID 5 has been up to 3.0GB Free and the error was still occurring.

    If any one has any suggestions please respond.

    We had a similar problem on our PDC last year but with excel97 when we examined event logs it was something to do with the redirector service and a registry hack later it was ok ?
