    Frequent disconnects on D-Link router

Ever since I did a factory reset on my router (D-Link WBR-1530, I think...or maybe WBL) my Win2k box keeps showing "Network cable disconnected" then within a second or two comes back with connected. This happens over and over again. When it does, the link light on the router goes out. Since my computer will maintain a link even when powered off, I don't think its a PC issue. Thoughts?

Could be a cable fault, rj45 jack fault... if you have reset it then it's likely you twisted the box around with the cables still connected... thereby possibly loosening the cable in the socket or the cable in the plug.

    Tried reflashing the firmware?

Have you checked to see if there is a firmware upgrade.
It may well help the situation

    Firmware is the latest version.
Didn't have to twist anything, as the box is mounted sideways on the wall.
    Different port/cable didn't change anything.
