Sony 320E issues
first post noob here.
I searched for this problem first but found nothing on it, so maybe someone can help me out. i'm having problems writing data to cd-r's with windows XP-sp2. (the combo drive is a crx320e) When i "drag+drop" or "right-click send-to" the files go to the temp file waiting to be written, but when i click "write files to CD" the drive doesn't recognize a CD-R is in it. It plays CD-Rom, it plays DVD, plays CD, and it even burns CD's when i use i-tunes, but it won't write data from the windows prompt... I've checked the registry and the drive type is correct, I reloaded the driver, i even reflashed the firmware to nyk5, but nothings worked. seems to me like its an XP issue and not the drive. if anyones got any suggestions im all ears.
thanks

I guess you do not have a Cd burning software besides Windows.?? You can go to google And type in free cd burning software. Or you can go to nearest
Store that will sell software and pick up Nero.

The default XP burner worked fine until just recently. i didnt really want to go with third party software, but it looks like i may have to. i've got a friend with nero that she got with her Lite-on cd-rw.
i have a suspicion that windows updates are screwing up my comp. i had to fix my in-laws' user32.dll the other day because of them. Seems like the micro's getting a little soft on us.
