Dell Inspiron DVD freezes everything.
I have a dell lap top coming in on Tuesday & want some feedback on it before it gets here. I will tell as much as I know right now it is a Dell Inspiron about one year old, the caller said any time she puts in a cd or dvd the whole system freezes. I am working today (Sunday) because computers are tax free this weekend in Tennessee. Thanks for your posts in advance.

sounds like a semi dead drive.... or possibly all the cds / dvds are scratched to bits, or the unit is filthy.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."
