    firefox

    anyone using this?

i think its okay, and i am using it in parallel to IE 6, (cant have 7 because i have W2K - boohoo, no loss there). I also have opera and netscape installed.

i use javascript etc and wondered if anyone knew of any firefox limitations because it doesn't always display pages how they are in the other browsers - i.e. the effect works but maybe only the once.

I use a combination of webeasy pro and hotdog 6.5 to create sites, and all my browsers are okay with the effects (dhtml/javascript) except i just noticed firefox playing up.

    any advice?
Mr Miyagi, by any other name... (is this sig short enough?)

All of the browsers have their quirks... IE6 being the worst...If you check a site that looks good in IE6, chances are it won't in IE7 unless it's been fixed. IE7 now is much more adherent to standards than IE6 was...

Firefox has settings for javascript and you can block or unblock it as well.

You can also install a plug in for IE in Firefox which will render the page in IE
Works very nice and allows me to use Firefox on almost all Microsoft sites.
Microsoft actually wrote a nice WMP plug in for Firefox as well

I enjoy using all 3 popular browsers, IE, FF & Opera...I'm favoring Opera over FF nowadays, it's so much lighter and quicker to load things...also great little features that make it nicer to use IMHO.

I use ie7 but noticed something in the control panel of one of my forums. The page didn't display correctly and I couldn't get to the button I needed, it was hidden.

So I installed firefox, it worked and the page displayed correctly..

I noticed then that firefox is quicker than ie7 to open pages and perform tasks..

what poops me off though is website design.. Ill do a page and it looks great in IE7 but in firefox it will flash (text blink on off) , show wrong borders and alignments and generally look crappy... so my life is filled with "getting it right" ocross browsers
