Assistance needed!
Do I have to convert my manuscript into PDF file? If so, is there any specific settings I can follow to avoid any font or resolution issue? Is there any other tools I can use to create PDF files? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

I think a little more information about what you are trying to do would be needed.
Creating a pdf from a document can be done with a few different softwares.

Yes, as soon as you answer the questions - what document format are you trying to convert to pdf?

That depends on what you are trying to do with the manuscript.

That depends on the original manuscript and what it is to start with.

There are many converters on the net both as a software download and as an online service.

Pdf
Download Cutepdf and the converter.exe from http://www.cutepdf.com/
Install the converter first and the CutePDF next. Then open your document and print to the new PDF virtual printer. You can create a PDF from any program (Windows)

Kaiana, you are assuming that the document allows the text copy... not all documents have assigned the rights to copy the text only.

PDF to Text
Yes that is correct. I have made the assumption based on the information layed out in previous notes.
Copy protected.
Install a PDF writer like cutePDF. Open the document and print to PDF. Open the new document and copy the text to a word document.
Print / Copy Protected.
Download a PDF Password Recovery program. There are hundreds availible on the net. many are free. Crack the document, the process will create an unprotected PDF document. Copy the text and you are done.
I hope this helps

You just stepped over the line by advocating piracy. Please read the acceptable use policy again here
This is your first and last warning.

Pdf
I did not intend to advocate piracy.
The original post states "my manuscript" so you would be making the assumption that the intention of Daywalker is an intent of theft. I in good faith trust the purpose of coping the data is legal. Cracking is only piracy if it is used for to steel that which is not yours. As a MCDST, I have to crack forgotten passwords for many things including Windows OS. Not cracking the activation key but retrieving the windows admin password from a locked PC. I also have to recover PDF documents for customers that had staff create the documents and then left the organisation with the passwords. Niether of these activities are piracy. I am offended to be accused of this when I myself refuse to download illegal mp3's.

Sorry, that doesn't wash. The thread starter asked to convert his manuscript INTO pdf, not from it.
My comment that rights are assigned could have stood without comment from you at all. As I said, you were warned. You can choose to be offended, or you can take on board the fact that you did not read the rules of posting and you misread read the requirements of the post and as a result posted inappropriately.
By all means, answer posts, but make sure you read the post correctly please!
