NT Mail, Secure (SSL) ? I know nothing.
First off, I know very little about NT. Our NT people are out for awhile so I was sent to appease a frantic business. I was a sacrifical lamb to shut up the lion. Lucky me.
Problem: They cannot access outside Internet email as of Friday. The pop3 host cannot be found. They claim (and I believe them) that nobody has touched their Web machine.
"Secure (SSL): No, Socket Error 1101 Error 0x800ccc0D"
What I know:
Their company email works fine. They can send & receive all the companyname.com email. They have WWW access. They can be accessed via WWW. They can ping their outside email servers. The IP addresses seem fine. Everything worked fine Thursday, and ceased to work (apparantly by itself) on Friday. Rebooting doesn't fix it.
Any ideas?

Are you running exchange? If you are, try starting and stoppping the MTA service. Only idea that comes to mind.

Anyone try contacting their third-party pop3 host? May be on their end.
