SATA and IDE dual boot
Not sure if this is possible ...
I have an ASUS M2NPV-VM board with both sata and ide slots, currently running XP on an IDE 320 gig disk.
Is it possible to have a sata disk with Vista on it and have a dual boot with a screen that asks me which drive I want to boot to on startup? If nothing is selected after say 10 seconds it will boot to the XP drive.

Vista will dual boot with XP and if you put Vista on the sata drive, it will launch a boot manager from which you can choose. You can also set the default. The SATA drive will have to be set in bios to be the boot drive. tutorial here
