downgrading gateway laptop vista to xp

i have to downgrade this gateway laptop from vista home to xp pro,but there no xp divers on gateway`s site,my question:would the vista drivers work for xp?some of you guy`s or gals must have the goodies and let me know .

Nope, vista drivers won't work with xp.... BUT
Assuming that gateway use the lowest common denominator as hardware, then finding the drivers will be relatively easy.

So my question to you is - what are the makes and models of the various bits of hardware in the laptop?
Chipset
Video
Modem
NIC
Wireless
Bluetooth
Cardbus

Post the model of laptop and a link to the specs if you have one.

thanks noo i won`t waste your time with this i was just rying to get without google that`s why i didn`t use specifics, you gave me what i wanted so i will do what i am paid for and google the rest fo the afternoon,my heartfelt thanks for the help,by the way to answer a question you asked a while back i am 70 years old going to 71 and i started when debug was the it best friend,,that should make me the oldest on the forum,lol Claude
