CD Burner plays CD's, but does not see blank CD's for burning! Help!
My CD/DVD Drive was working fine a few weeks ago. Now, when I go to burn a music CD, I get the message "There is no disc in the drive. Please insert disc into drive". I have used the same CD-R's I have always used and I do not know why it will not recognize a blank CD in the drive to burn music but, it will PLAY CD's just fine! Can anyone help? I have a Dell Dimension E510 with Windows XP. I have tried both programs I use to burn CD's, Roxio and Yahoo Musicmatch Jukebox and both say there is no disc in the drive. The system says that the drive is working fine but, it will not see a blank CD. Ideas???? Please.... I am trying to burn a CD for my fathers funeral next week and really need to solve this.
