LPR Printing with NT4.o

Hi All,

I need to print diurectly to a network printer, i know i need to use LPR. Making the port is ok, but it doesn't seem not to want to print to it. I can do it with Windows 2000 - need to have the protocol set to LPR and have give it an LPR Queue Name.

Any Ideas??

are you pointing to an IP address?

if it's an HP prointer with JetDirect you could print directly to the MAC address by installing DLC protocol.

in order to use LPR printing in NT$ you must install the TCP/IP priniting service in network config.

then you can add LPR ports..
