no sound driver installed
I'm not sure how it happened, but I do not have any sound from my speakers and I get an error that there is no sound driver installed. I'm running windows xp home, my computer is an hp pavilion a815n. I read a previous post where it was recommended to download everest home edition and install to find out more about my system. Let me know what other information is needed to help me with this problem. Can someone help me?

Thanks for responding so quickly.
I downloaded and ran the .exe
I get this Error:
"Cann't find Match Realtek HDAudio Inf File!"
when I close that box, I get this Warning:
"Realtek HD Audio driver Setup Failure!"
when I close that box, I get this message:
"Update is complete.
Save any applications, and click YES to restart to PC."

That link looks like an "update" not the original driver itself.
Check here:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...c_carib&os=228
At the bottom, the original drivers are listed.
Also, there is a BIOS update listed that is dated 09-2005.
Good Luck!

It says there might not be a sound device installed on your computer. I check my sound and audio device properties- volume - it says no audio device.
