Automotive laptop stand?
I'm looking for one of those laptop stands like the police have in their patrol cars, that lets them use the laptop from their seat. I'm sure someone has one for the commercial market. Any ideas where to look?

Try these guys: http://www.laptraveler.com/
Hey CP, once you get this all you'll need is the red and blue lights to turn your Caprice into a bonafide police cruiser! <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">

Be prepared to get some static over this. I'm sure you're a responsible driver, but there's enough jerks out there who aren't and act irresponsibly with cellular phones, never mind laptops.
I don't believe in encouraging this trend. Had a "friend" once who turned into a Mack truck while yappin' on the phone--it was in his "blind spot".
Now I ask you: how the @#$%&* can a *&%$#@ Mack truck fit into your blind spot?
Just be aware, others are going to think this of you too, is all I'm saying. Bad apples ruining it for the rest of us and all that.
Flash! Don't heckle the supervillain!

Thanks guys.
That Galls link was great, I'd actually considered getting the yellow flashing lights for the top of my car (red & blue are illegal except for emergency services) to make it even more patrol-car like. But at $500-$2000, I think there are better upgrades I can spend my money on. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0"> <IMG SRC="smilies/rolleyes.gif" border="0">
I wouldn't be using the laptop while driving, except perhaps with a GPS program running, and even then it would only be for reference, not for active use. (Would be safer than trying to follow a map)
