    WLAN not working..

    I have a Toshiba Satellite L-40..and the WLAN isnt working at all..even the LED for the LAN under the laptop isnt working (Switched ON)..i did not update any drivers for my network card..
    Im thinking its a hardware issue..but i may be wrong

    I admit I don't know a lot about Toshiba's but you can try:

    Fn+F2 and see if the Power State for the network adapter allows it to shut down.

    Fn+F8 to see if the wirelesss toggle is somehow involved.

    In XP, check the network adapter power management settings in CP to ensure it isn't set to shut off to save power.
