    Problem with my SIS7012 Soundcard =[

    I installed a new hard drive into my systemax computer, and after that i couldnt hear any sound on my computer. i went into device manager and there were question marks beside the multimedia controller, the PCI simple communications controller and a few other things. i disabled them and downloaded the realtek AC'97 but i still have no sound.

    Enter your info there and get your mobo downloads at source.

    edit: use socket 478 - you maybe have to look at the mobo to get the specific model - 2 like yours with slightly diff version - then again, compare and maybe they use the same download.

    i downloaded the audio driver but when i did the setup it would get to 80% and i would get an error report

    Since you installed a 'new' hd did you also re-install the OS or just clone it?

    If re-installed, did you install the chipset drivers? If not, that site has those also. They are the FIRST thing you install after the OS.
