Cheap Vista SP1 upgrade
I could not believe what I saw on the Amazon website, a retail version of Windows Vista Home Premium Upgrade for £69.99 GBP. I am a firm believer in there is no such thing as a free lunch so what is wrong with it or have Amazon got stock they need to move? There is another product which is not SP1 and not reduced so is there something wrong with SP1 or should I grab this bargain now?

Well it is an upgrade to begin with.
Over the top installs are never a good idea.
They work and I have done them, but I do not recommend them.
There is a possibility that the full install trick works with this one as well.
Basically you boot to the dvd do an install with out entering a KEY.
Finish the install till you get to windows and then immediately rerun
the install from within windows and choose upgrade and then enter the key
Its all detalled here
