Evidence? We Don't Have to Show You Any Stinkin' Evidence!
I'm sure many of you are familiar with the MPAA vs. Thomas case. Jammie Thomas is facing a $222,000 fine for allegedly making 24 songs available for download via Kazaa. The MPAA has no direct evidence that any of the songs were actually downloaded by anyone, but they claim they don't need it.
The article I've linked to is short, to the point, and has good links to additional info. In particular, the Electronic Freedom Foundation's brief is exceptionally clear and easy to follow. Unusual for a legal document.

The only thing missing for the MPAA is the bright red nose and the super sized shoes.
