Well, yeah...
Two parts to video - what will the card support and what will the monitor support. Last response quite right, this is not about O/S, it's about configuration.
Win 95 supports 1000's of video combinations, you simply need the right display adapter and monitor driver.
At worst, the windows default drivers (Standard LCD monitor I guess for your IBM) and standard vxd should give you at least 256 colours, possibly more.
Check MyComputer>ControlPanel>System>DeviceManager and under display adapter and monitor. Look at properties, you can change drivers there, just follow the instructions
That's AFTER you did the right-click on desktop as previously stated. If that causes a crash (garbled screen) and Windows does not sort for you, you may have to re-boot in safe mode and effect changes
