Adamsappleone, I guess you and I may disagree on what constitutes "simple". Do you suppose it might be possible (perhaps even likely) that ojann's grandmother doesn't have Windows Live? Maybe Grandmother isn't running Vista. Gosh, what are the odds do you suppose? Even if her machine has Vista installed, she's on a dialup connection, which makes downloading Windows Live an ordeal rather than a quick fix. Anyway, I'm willing to bet that in this case, your "simple" solution for ojann and his Grandmother isn't workable.

    Hello slgrieb,

I suppose, you don't need Windows Vista, my method works for all versions of Windows and she is on dial-up and she is switching to Comcast, WL file is only 2.28mb's, so really, how long could that take, besides it could always be copied to disc on a faster machine.
My solution is workable. Have you tried it? Probably not if you don't have MSN.
This solution that I originally posted in PCPitstop Forums won me Tips and Tricks of the month back in March 08, so you can disagree all you want, I know it works and haven't received any feedback that it doesn't.
So why you gotta be all negative and stuff?

http://www.microsoft.com/windows/pos...on-the-go.aspx Right side of the screen, top of the list under what you need. Windows Vista computer. Dial up download speed, about 36Kb. Still only works with Vista.

I'm not sure we're on the same page here.
That link doesn't seem to have anything to do with importing MSN favorites into IE or Firefox. It shows TV, Video and Movies and maybe those features only work with Vista, but you don't have to have Vista to get Windows Live or Windows Live Toolbar or Windows Live Messenger. Like I said "My solution is workable. Have you tried it? Probably not if you don't have MSN."

    Hi NooNoo,

Ugh, I am at a loss here, what solution was I looking for?
I was replying to the OP who wanted to know how to Import MSN Favorites in to Firefox. I was not not looking for any solution.

    Regards,

    Don

    Links don't work!

I know this thread is old, but there seems to be a severe lack of information on how to accomplish this task anymore.

All the links provided are too old. What is the method everyone is alluding to?

I heard Microsoft Live can import from MSN... but do you have to install MSN Explorer First, and THEN install Microsoft Live Mail? And then somehow the favorites are imported?

    Please help!

Well, I'm still of the opinion that most people can print their favorites from MSN and enter them into their current browser of choice manually faster than doing all the steps to import them. Besides, this is a perfect opportunity to dump sites you actually never visit.

Whether you print a list, or use the procedure outlined by CCT, it is all much easier to have the MSN software installed on the target machine before you start. The current version is available here.
