Easy, make sure your file system is NTFS and then use the built in quota features of the OS.

Nope. Not that I know of. What goal are you trying to achieve?
Are you trying to restrict a user's profile size?

we have created directories for all 100 users to store personal things. But some of the users are copying there whole c:\ windows, programs and all and its starting to cause problems as we are running out of space on the hardisk and tape backup. so we want to limit the folders in the users directory to about 100mb or less so they dont do stupid things.

I agree. it seems like what you need, but doesn't look like the best site or safest software to use. I would really like to know if anyone tried it and how it worked or if there are any other programs like it. I have the same problem at work right now

You could do what they do here. They send out notifications that the server is running out of space, and that people need to get their folders under the quota. After you do that, wait a day then delete random stuff out of people's folders who are still over the limit.

ally cat Thats exactly what i thought about the site it looks too basic to be safe and there doesnt seem to be much documentation (i couldnt even download the file)
We do send emails out telling them that we are running out of space and if they dont clean it up where not going to backup there data
