    Outlook 2003 issue

    I have a 2003 outlook email account setup on a xp machine that logs in to a domain. When the machine gets rebooted the incoming server pop3 gets changed to "localhost" and the user name for the account changes from just "andy" to "andy/mail.domainname.com" I have other machines on the network that doesnt do this. thx for any help

    Welcome to Windrivers tekjunky
    You would need to talk to your domain admin.... it sounds like a policy is kicking in each time. Some antivirus with mail protection also do this..

    Thx for your reply...i went into active directory users and computers and mirrored a users settings that doesnt have this issue to the one that does and when i reboot the machine the settings are changed, iam not sure whats going on.

    What antivirus is on the machine(s) in question?

    Hello...all the machines on the domain are using trend micro client/server security agent ver. 7.2

    OK I know trend micro client does do this... you would have to check the documentation for how to fix it.
