    I'll have to have a read of that.

    I went into the registry and changed the loctations of the program files folders and when I restarted some of the gadgets on the sidebar wouls not show and some icons on the start menu, I then changed the locations back and all was fine.

    is this normal?

    Well you didn't change the location that those icons point to! Changing the location of program files is not a good idea... it messes up windows update as well.
