    Will 4GB to 8GB make a difference

    will doubling my ram make a lot of differance?

    Yes it will make a difference, but only to those programs that can use it. Check against the requirements for the games/programs you run.

    Right click the task bar, select task manager and take a look at how much free memory you have with various things open. There is also an nice realtime report on what the memory is doing and any errors.
