Send to issue. Drive not an option
I know that when I select a file (photo, doc) and right click on it. I get the option send to which will copy/burn a copy of it. I installed a DVD burner and the drive does not show up as a option like the cd burner does unless I format the dvd using Sonic DLA. why? I do not have to format the CD's only the the DVD's.
And do if I have to use a dla program to burn to my DVD is there and thing better than sonic dla (which in IMHO is a POS).

DLA stands for Drive Letter Access.
This is a form of burning designed to emulate the way a floppy disk works... you put in a new RW disk, format it and then you can add and remove files to your hearts content (or 50 rewrites which ever comes first).
Assuming you are using XP, it has an in built CD burning option (kinda slow, but works) or you can download ordinary burning software. A free one is www.deepburner.com or www.imgburn.com
It really rather depends on what you are trying to achieve as to what program will suit you best.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."
