DVD Burning Problem
I have 4 dvd burners 2 pioneer 109, 1 samsung 2008, 1 lite-on 2008 and i'm trying to burn my movie but each burn comes up with a error on 1% burn one say illegal disc the other say invalid burn. I bought a 100 tdk 60 was all 1% error I just got 100pack verbatim so far 25 is 1% error I tried a media on my friends pioneer 115 burner and it burned fine is it my burner or media that's the problem.

It sounds like media/burner incompatibility... are all 4 burners in the one machine? What os and what burning software - if it's nero, post the log.
Never, ever approach a computer saying or even thinking "I will just do this quickly."

OK the error that Nero has is KEY_ILLEGAL_REQUEST
I am used to seeing that with other errors, not on its own.... so here we go with the troubleshooting since Nero doesn't have a list of what these errors actually mean! I would suggest you go to Nero.com and get the updates for Nero 9.2.6.0 first.
1. Do you have any other dvd burning software installed?
2. Have you tried unhooking the other dvd drive?
3. If you burn to image, do you get the same problem?
4. You have got Determine maximum speed : FALSE, try with it on
5. If you simulate, does it stop in the simulation?
6. If you have no other dvd burning software, try imgburn (free) and see if that has the same problem

I think I found the problem I realize this started after I updated Kaspersky Internet Security 7 to Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 (8.0.0.506) before my pioneer would fail every burn at 1% but when I disable kaspersky I've burned 4 straight movies with my pioneer. I'm going to roll back to version 7 to see if that's really the problem I'll post back soon...

It's CONFIRM Kaspersky 2009 SCREWED ME out of 34 Disc. Since I Reinstalled kaspersky 7.0.0.125 I've made 6 straight Burns without any problems. Is there a way that I can get a replacement on these disc 24 Verbatim 10 Nexxtech

Copy us on the emails to Kapersky... but remember we have a naughty word filter!
