IDE controller for SATA motherboard
I just bought a new gateway computer, which uses SATA drives. THere is no IDE slot for IDE hard drives. Do I need to purchase a PCI IDE controller?

if i want to use this internally, is there anything special i need to worry about in terms of finding the controller? i'm concerned about buying the wrong thing. Is it a straighforward purchase?

Usually they have at least 1 controller on the board for IDE.
Have you checked?
