Looking for some classic style RPG games
It doesn't have to be the latest and greatest (in fact, I prefer smooth graphics over resource hogging high end graphics).
Something along the lines of Baulder's Gate, Ultima (The False Profit was the best), Neverwinter Nights, etc.
Suggestions? I've tried Morrowind but for some reason I could never get it to work. I've also pulled out the Might & Magic pack I got years ago.

Well, you've pretty much covered most of the RPGs I've played! Just not a big gamer. What about the Diablo games? In fact, I just installed Diablo II and the Expansion Pack on my Windows 7 machine and it actually runs just fine. Well, you need the most current patch and the Expansion Pack has to be re-installed with recommended compatibility settings, but it plays without a hiccup. I may even dig out the original and give it a shot.
Otherwise, if you're open to something more modern, it's hard to do better than The Witcher Enhanced Edition. You can still download the demo of the original game from filefront, gamespot, etc.
Oblivion? Well, you can buy it for cheap, so it might be worth a shot, but for some reason, it just bores me to tears. The graphics are beautiful and there's many hours of gameplay to be had, I just don't connect with it. Still, I didn't dislike it as much as Morrowind.

While not a huge game player, I found the original Dungeon Siege to be fun.
The AI was OK. Some budgetary thought had to be given to cash expenditures and potion use. Strategy was always helpful if you didn't want to get killed. Running away was often a good option.
The expansion packs and DS 2 both dumbed the game play down considerably IMHO. It was as if MS had held focus groups with kids and asked them what they didn't like about the original game and as if the answers were: "having to think, getting killed, having no money, and running out of potions."

What about Arcanum since you already were trying out the Fallout 1 & 2 options. Titan Quest is a decent clone of the Diablo setup I played it for months on end and there are various ways to build up your characters archetype. Both allow or a co-op setup too. Though Arcanum has a different story to use for the co-op than the main story line.
