Creative SB PCI128 (Ensoniq ES1371) sound card
Hello windrivers.com!
I'm having a trouble with my soundcard. It worked just fine some days ago, then i formated my computer, and after i installed my drives, the sound just didn't work. I've been looking in this thread, reading every post and tried to do everything, still doesn't work!
I got Microsoft windows XP professional SP 2 as OS.
My computer is a AMD Athlond 64 processor, 3200+, 2.01 GHz, 1GB ram. I'm not sure you could use those facts, but anyway :P.
soundcard: Creative SB PCI128 (Ensoniq ES1371) sound card.
MotherboardID : 06/30/2006-NF-CK804-6A61FE19C-00.
Motherboard name: ECS NForce4-A939
My speakers are correctly plugged, and none of the volume controllers are muted. Please help, If you need more "facts", please ask. I'm a newb when it comes to installing drives lol.
Thanks for any help!! Losing my mind on this.

Welcome to Windrivers CreativePCI
According to the specification for your motherboard, the sound is Realtek onboard. Was a separate sound pci card added?

Yes, i think my seperate soundcard is Creative SB PCI128 (Ensoniq ES1371) sound card, says it's in PCI slot 2. So i guess that's the seperate one.

Have you tried installing one of Creative's drivers for your card?

I'd try removing the Soundblaster, installing the drivers for your Realtek onboard sound, plugging your speakers in and seeing if you have sound. Check your BIOS settings to be sure the onboard sound is enabled.

Sorry if I was unclear, but I meant to physically remove the PCI128, because most onboard sound is automatically disabled if a soundcard is detected in the system. So, if you removed the Soundblaster, installed the Realtek drivers and still have no sound, you've either got a problem with the speakers (bad cable or whatever) or your Windows installation isn't working properly. I'd try different speakers or headphones.
If a different output device won't produce sound, you could try running System File Checker or doing a repair installation of Windows.

Aah, Okay, I'll try remove the soundcard, install the drivers, and change headphones. I was actually thinking of doing a full re-install of windows, don't got anything saved yet, and maybe it'll work, I doubt it but it's worth a try.

This is what happened after i removed the SB PCI 128 soundcard from the computer, and tried to install sound drivers.
I installed Realtek drivers first, nothing's happening, even after i reboot, Volume Sliders are greyed out and still no sound.
I tried to install C-Media973x and this is what happened:

Have you install all the mainboard drivers starting with the chipset drivers? All drivers for your board should be on this page.
