I found this suggestion;
'You'll have to set up your HDMI in CCC with another DVI monitor hooked up..In CCC goto Display Manager.. Drag the TV icon from the 'attached displays currently disabled' box, over to the empty box next to your 'main' monitor box.. '

Well, I didn't write that but I assume it is Catalyst Control Center.

i did try that and did not work as my monitor is not disabled, I am getting an image though it is not filling thw whole screen there is a 1 inch or so gap around it.
I have googled this and have found others to have the same problem although I can't figure out the cause.
I am using it on DVI now and it is fine but does not for HDMI

Have you set the input on the monitor to HDMI - button on the side marked ENTER cycles the options apparently.
edit: could be wrong info as the thread I was reviewing has a madhouse of various people talking various LCD's.
LoL.

There is somerthing they refer to as 'On View (PC Mode)' where you can adjust settings.
Have you used that?

No, but if you do something bad to someone, then something bad will often happen to you.
