I would try 1 stick of memory at a time.
Make sure anything not needed is disconnected (floppy other dvd's/cdrom's )
Do not forget you are loading 64 bit drivers so make sure you have loaded all of the right drivers for all hardware. Its not likely its the brand new hard drive.

It could be that the SATA cable is not quite attached properly... make sure they are firmly attached... and the power supply has enough oomph to run everything.

When I connect my old hard drive up it works fine bno erros,

The memoy has been working fine for months.

I remember when uwas installing drives the system did restart once after it crashed and the blue screen inly really comes up when I make alot of changed to windows.

DO you think it's jus a dodgy windows installation?

Anytime you are trying to troubleshoot an error, the first question to ask is "What's changed?' New drive, new error. Have you contacted Samsung support?

Was the old drive IDE? If so, did you load the correct SATA drivers?

Essentially, there are no "driver" issues for current hard drives and operating systems. Your vendor is blowing smoke. You might have a problem with the Windows installation, but it would be huge coincidence if it just showed up when you installed a new drive. Once again, I'd suggest you contact Samsung directly for support.

There are some updates available yes...

Also I did run the drive for a few days and di not get any errors on the drive again.

My vendor did a thorough test of the drive and found nothing

As i said the isse occured wen I was installing drivers so it might be a device drivier causing the ussue.

I am going to format it and use it as a secondary drive, hopefully should be ok now.

Collio, are you by any chance using the same motherboard in your other thread? If you are, then I would have to wonder if this has less to do with the drive and more to do with the Enigmatic Pop. If it's the same board, I'd be leaning toward getting a replacement for it.
