    Upgrading to Vista, Need Help Finding some Drivers

    I've got a Dell Latitude E6500 (config is listed in my signature), and the upgrade disc won't let me upgrade until I get new drivers for my "Standard IDE/ESDI Hard Disc Controller".

    Anyone know where I can get that driver? (urgent)

    On another note, its saying I should update the drivers for my SCSI and RAID controllers: ADUBO6O9 IDE Controller. Anyone know where I can get the drivers for that? ***EDIT: Fixed this part. Just need help with the part marked "urgent"***

    Firstly did you try the chipset drivers from Dell's website? Also the sata drives option has 1 urgent update and the rest have recommended if that is what your issue is.

    I may be wrong, but that issue came up a lot with people having UPGRADES ARE DISABLED issues.

    A clean install (old XP deleted) or a separate partition dual-boot rather than an XP-upgrade-to-Vista was the answer.
