    Blue screen

Every time I get on the internet for awhile my computer starts mess up like freeze then go to a blue screen. The blue screen says the application failed to initialize properly(0xc0000142) Click on ok to terminate the application. Beginning dump of physical memory, dumping physical memory to disk. Stop: C0000145 application error

I try clicking ok to terminate the application and can't. I have to hold down the power button to shut down the computer then push the power button again to start it back up. This has been happening for awhile now. I really need some help. Thanks

Start IE and then click Tools, Internet Options, programs, manage Add-Ons and select Add-Ons currently loaded in Internet Explorer and select each one and disable them all. Same for Add-Ons that have been used.

Then wait and see if you get the same thing. If that fixes things, then re-enable say 3 add-ons at a time and operate for a sufficient time to determine stability. Then another 3, etc.

If, even with add-ons disabled, you get the crash, then do an SFC /scannow (MS has instructions on-line for that, print them out).

edit: I am guessing XP for the OS and IE for the browser - if IE7, initially tru a Start, run and type iexplore –extoff and this should start IE7 without add-ons (saves the disabling part) to check if one of them is at fault. If it is, then the tedious disabling is necessary to determine which one

firefox is causing a memory error. I recommend reinstalling firefox to see if that fixes it.
