Last year on my way home from Mardi Gras in New Orleans I got two tickets within 15 minutes in different parishes. The first was in the town of Newellton. City cop clocked me going 77 in a 55 2 miles outside the city limits on his way home, followed me through the town and pulled me over a mile on the other side of town. I argued over his being out of his jurisdiction, but the backwoods law can't be fought. This was the first ticket I'd ever got. Never been pulled over for speeding in 5 years of driving in Missouri. So I was pissed and thought what are the chances and continued driving even faster only to get pulled over by a Madison Parish deputy doing 79 in a 55. Each ticket was about $150, which I paid, but my license in MO ended up being suspended because the idiots in Newellton wouldn't send an acceptable receipt. Got arrested for driving while suspended, even though I showed the deputy the receipts for having paid the tickets. Bail was set at $500. He was a guy I graduated with and I think he was bitter cause his girlfriend cheated on him with me and dumped him for me back in high school and now they're engaged. Once I went to court for the DWS it was thrown out, and everything was cleared up.

No real tickets for moving violations ever. Been driving for 17 years, too! Did get one of those cheesy redlight tickets where the cameras are set up to bust people, though...$50.

While I didn't get a ticket, I had one incident that forever changed the way I drive. North of Las Vegas, I passed a Nevada patrol car while I was just breaking 120mph on my bike. He flashed his headlights at me but didn't run a code stop, and I was being a dumba$$, so I just throttled up to 130mph. Five miles later I noticed these shiny spots in the black (1AM, no moon) and braked down to 50, then saw that I was in the middle of a herd of Black Angus, the cattle not the restaurant. I've never been quite the same since. Can you say Open Range, no fences, cattle on road? Shiny spots were noses and eyes firmly attached to large bodies, on the road. Never had seen them on that road before. Never broke 90mph very often after that, and never a night. I guess if you live through your own stupidty, the least you should do is learn from it, eh?

It got a 98 in a 45 zone, no seatbelt, no lights on (11pm), out past curfew(17 at the time), and decided to be an @$$hole to the cop - drove an additional 4 miles after he started his lights so I could get to a well lit area and "feel safe" Funny thing is they mixed my record up with someone else's and I got to go to traffic school for $50 and have it stricken from my record. I feel sorry for the other person that got my ticket though.

My motorcycle was parked at a one hour meter, and I got back to it 5 minutes late...

He cheated
In 1992 I had a Dodge Stealth Twin Turbo and a wild girlfriend. I went down a highway with a 2 mile straightaway turned around and floored it. I was going 160 mph when I saw a car on the other side. Then I saw his light go on. For a brief moment I considered running, but instead I pulled over before he crossed the median and waited. I got my ticket and decided to fight it. He ticketed me for 135mph. At the hearing I learn that I set a record in PA for the highest speed that was caught. I also found out the radar detector was calibrated to 135 mph. If he listed my actual speed the case would have been thrown out. I got a $300 fine and 30 suspension. I haven't gotten a ticket since, 17 years

Only speed ticket was for 54 in a 35 zone, $191. Fought it and it got canceled without going to court.
Speaking of which I am yet to buy a new detector, my old one apparently doesn't work properly anymore (realized in few instances).

When I was a youngster, 127 in a 55, evading and eluding, Wreckless operation, failure to contol, 14 stop sign violations, destruction of public property, destruction of private property, failure to obey a lawful order, speeding violations from 3 different cities, (speeding through all 3 cities), open container, possesion of mary jane, open container, resisting arrest, paraphenalia charge.
I was a minor, 17, so I had a big break. I had to pay for the damage that I caused, 50.00 per violation, the open container, mary jane and resisting arrest charges were dropped.

More than ever, I'm convinced we need a Necropostiing Award. I think something like this lovely and graceful piece of driftwood would be appropriate.
