    Mutiple monitors from one computer

    Hello :O)

I would be happy to know if I can built a new computer that can output at least 4 different outputs to different screens.
Can I use two pci-e cards if the motherboards supports it ? Or do I need a specific card like matrox ?
It suppose to play some movies and a pps in a loop......
It'll be better even if i can output 5/6 monitors with it.

    Thank you

P.S. This seems a easy way to make it work :

    What do you think ?

There are several choices.. I don't like the idea of the USB to Video.

You could go with 2 pci-e cards that are desgined to work together (like nvidia SLI) and have 4 seperate outputs

I do know that matrox makes cards capable of powering 8 displays, so 4 should be easy for them

Personally, i would go with 2 inexpensive nividia cards that support SLI - IF your motherboard supports it.

    Thanks Mat. I even found a 250$ board that supports 3 SLI's ! Wow !

Do I need special cards for this configuration ? I saw nvidia 9600 supports SLI, So I wonder if it'll work on this board, And do I need special connectors for the SLI configuration, Or the connection is made through the board's chipset ? Any specific chipset is recommended ? Thank you !
