HP DV9000 laptop - class action?
Hello all,
I have been seeing a lot of these laptops lately that will not power up at all. They all qualify for the free HP/Compaq repair (it is a factory defect caused by the NVidia chipset overheating), but alas, the time period has expired. Now HP informed they notified all owners of these laptops by E-mail and it was also on their web page. None of these owners saw this recall notice, so they are SOL. Conveniently, these all seem to die shortly after the warranty expires.
Other techs out there - do you know of any class action lawsuits involving these laptops? I would like to pass on the information to all owners of these from now on when I get them in.
Thank you.
