As I said earlier re a Bios 'BURP", it could be your Bios doesn't 'see' the Sata without your changing some Bios settings (quite often you have to set a configuration for Sata as IDE and enhanced operation).
The other thing to check is, does that mobo (as sold) support Sata?
Nothing evident at the EM site to tell you afaiks!
(as far as I can see)
