    It could be ingenious design though. It finally solves the issue of supplying enough blood to use one or the other if it's both in the same region.

    I don't know. Considering the amount of blood needed to support something the length of one's own body, i would imagine it could lead to unconciousness from lack of blood supply elsewhere.
