 Palm Desktop 4.0
Just tried the new Palm Desktop 4.0, and I wanted to let all you know that it won't support Exchange 4.0 or Windows Messaging 4.0. There's not a lot of differences from the last version of Palm Desktop, except for some cosmetic UI improvements. The HotSync Manager program is still the same as the last version, 3.0.4.

 Nope, you can only get it bundled when you buy a new Palm. So don't throw away the original install CD if you've got it...

Seriously though. I am looking to get a Palm Pilot.. I've been looking at the IIIxe and it looks pretty good. Any recommendations?

The IIIxe is a good choice (nice screen and 8 megs of RAM) but you'll have to keep some spare AAA batteries on hand when it runs low on power. For a little more money, you can get the Vx which has a built in rechargable lithium-ion battery that lasts a long time. It recharges thru the cradle.
