MACAFEE FAIL - Founder on the Run

well we know mcafee was never much chop but it was there at the beginning..

it was also the source of many of my tech dollars over the years, fixing and getting rid of it.....

but to think that Macafee himself rode the wave to very top but couldn't surf it and fell off rather badly...

for all his searching for the elixir of life.. his own hourglass sands of health and time are dropping at a rapid rate...

I'm going to play the Devil's Advocate here on this. Not that I'm a fan of McAfee products but one thing doesn't make sense. The guns. Even if he was a fan of the Remington 870 shotgun why would he keep 6 camo ones plus the handgun and 2 other shotguns? There seems to be little to indicate he had his own in house militia so why would he have this many? Even a paranoid person who needs a large volume of guns to feel safe would have a variety rather than a collection of the same model.

I do believe him when he says the police reported five of the guns were registered, one wasn't ..as he said why would i not register one gun... plus it does make sense what he is saying.. corruption there has been running unchecked ofro years.. maybe belizes big gov will step in and smack a few hands..

ok he might be classed as borderline pedo... and a big of an eccentric genius... but i dont see him as the type that wants to rule the world..even the drug world.. he escaped from the world for a reason..

Since Intel bought and acquired Mcafee for almost $8 billion nearly 2 years ago, then yes....that is being successful regardless of software product issues. People and companies still use their products.

My original statement applied to all successful people who then suddenly lose everything overnight or over time due to problems in their lives.

Robbers rarely are successful unless you attribute them to being professional jewel or arts thief. Drug dealers may become rich being ruthless, but as we already it's a dog eat dog world in their illegal ventures.

What is the main driving factor for venture capitalists or people who want to be rich? That's right! MONEY! To them...making money is a measure of success. Will this be the same thing for others...not necessarily.

When we hear of men like Bill Gates donating off most of his billionaire fortune into his own charitable foundations, that's another level of success for them.

Since you live in Canada, I'm sure you've heard of Kevin O'Leary from CBC the Dragon's Den. He loves making money. Money to him is success. He says that all the time. To him...greed is good!
