Post Great Spyware removal tool

Hey, a friend told me about a great spyware removal tool to get rid of those damn advertising agency's hiding files and programs on your cpu. It's called ad-aware, and you can get it here

It'll remove cookies that send back info, and stealth programs that run without you knowing. Best of all, it's free and fully functional!

I love this program. People are often surprised at the amount of spyware running in their systems.

I'm usually pretty careful about running stuff on my machine, I don't download software that often.

Imagine my surprise when it found SEVEN spyware references! Yikes!

I've got Ad-aware and Ad-watch and they work great! These tools along with my firewall have caught all kinds of programs that try to phone home on me.

I ran it on someone's at work, and it found 33 differententires. From cookies, to a program, to registry entries. I don't think I have to tell you what type of websites he was visiting.... The amazing thing is, he picked these up in just one week!

I use Ad-Aware on a regular basis and it always finds a cookie from doubleclick.net. Anyone know anything about this? What puts it back on my machine after I've deleted it?
Thanks.....d

Exclamation

Be aware that the opt out cookies will eventually expire - I read in a magazine that some opt out cookies expire in 30 days, whereas other cookies usually expire in a year.
