Yup, that's where all the new WAP hardware is heading. The new 802.11a standard is still pricey though. There is another standard (I think it's 802.11g) coming down that is compatible with the 11a and 11b standards. I'm not sure how well the "turbo" mode works though on this particular Linksys.... Kinda makes you wonder though. If it is capable of 70+ mbps in turbo mode, why not have it transfer at that rate all the time? What are you giving up in the meantime using "turbo"?

I know your post was in 2002..I have a Cisco-Linksys WAP54G Wireless-G Access Point
Is there something better now in 2014 you would recommend for home use

Thanks..so you like the Tenda N600 or the N6..I did see some bad reviews..I'm only going to use it for my Laptop & Tablet..
