HP deskjet printerdriver needed for win7
I have an HP 695c deskjet printer. Installed it with the Windows 7 installer, but the computer can't communicate with the printer. I could see only once the message that "fdprint.dll" cannot be found.
The win setup had the similar problem in xp too.
I tried to install a universal hp driver, windows update, but nothing seems to fix it.
The printer itself works fine, is able to print a page when I hold down the page button..
Anyone knows where I can get a proper driver or the dll file, or any other ideas how to fix this?

fdprint.dll should be in the directory C:\Windows\System32 .
Is it ?
If it is, then try to manually re-register it.

Been there, done that. Pls note what HP says on that link:
"Driver - Product Installation Software
(1)
Install the Driver Using Windows Update with a USB Connection (Downloadable Driver Not Available)

HP Single-Function Printers - Installing the Product with the USB Cable and Using the Windows Update Driver or the Driver Located in the Windows 7 Operating System
- this is the thing that does not work

Use Microsoft or HP websites - they have the following drivers there.

Click on Start->RUN and paste the following:
c:\windows\system32\regsvr32.exe C:\Windows\System32\fdprint.dll
EDIT: That should be a ONE Line command with a space after the regsvr32.exe
(on my screen it is showing to be two lines)

In Win 7 you may need to use an elevated command prompt -> http://www.sevenforums.com/performan...nd-prompt.html
edit: which I think is what Steve's suggested command line achieves
