    Question Address bar....

    On a Win98 machine:
    ===================

    Is there a way to remove or disable the address bar from I.E.?

    Basically, I need my users to use IE only to surf 1 site, the defaut. So far I found a way to do this using the Kiosk mode, but since there is no BACK...PRINT...EXIT...it's a little bit of a pain for the users.

    Thanks a lot!

    Have you tried <a href="http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ieak/default.asp" target="_blank">http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ieak/default.asp</a>

    I hope you have also disabled the run command, since the users can launch sites that way too. Also if they bring a shortcut on a floppy disk, or use the address bar on the taskbar.... it never ends. Maybe there is a way to do this with the HOSTS file?

    To remove the bar from sight only, right click on the bar, uncheck address bar. This is only if you have the very basic user. But out of sight, out of mind??

    So far my high school kids haven't figured it out
