They're going after brand recognition. They're hoping that "Intel" will be imbedded deeply in your subconcious, and you will automatically assume that it's the best (why not? They have the most commercials out). When the consumer goes to buy a system, they automatically ask for Intel.
All companies do this. It's a marketing tactic.

I don't know about any of you, but those blue guys give me the creeps... Big white eyes, UGH! (shudders)
I liked the dancing components commercials a few years ago. But I haven't used Intel chips at home for about four years LOL.

I dont know about anybody else but I prefer AMD. And I only remomber one comercial from them. The train. What do you like for desktops.

Personaly I hate them all, Intel is over priced, you know why? because green paint is realy expensive, and it cost a lot of money to pay such "Talented" actors to play those parts of the blue men, drop the comercials, drop the prices.
