    Talking Y2K+1 Bug?

Somethin' weird and funky has been happening with my work computer. When I got back to work yesterday, I couldn't get on to half my supplier's sites, because the certificates were expired. Today, for some strange reason, I decided to check the date. The date read January 1, 2003. It seems that when the computer rolled over to 01/01/01, it forgot which one to change, so it changed the last one. Each day, it advanced a year.

Heh. I know. My work computer is a pretty sick puppy. It has a tendancy to lock when scrolling through web pages...or just sitting on the screen saver. Oh well. It does the job, that's all that counts, I guess.

Heard about this problem from another tech. He updated the BIOS and solved the problem

CuteFTP 2.0 starting having problems when the year rolled over to 2001. Half the files wouldn't show up! We solved the problem by upgrading to 2.8. Weird but we never had any Y2K issues (beyond cosmetic issues on the server) so we never even thought it was a Y2K+1 issue!!!

I saw something similar to that, kind of, whenever the computer would Roll over to Jan 1, 2001 the date would turn into Jan 1, 2013

It was on an OLD P75mhz.

This reminds me when my company was trying to make the old 486's Y2K compliant.
