How about the people that think the floppy disk drive is a credit card reader and try to use it like a CC reading machine to buy stuff online

The of course you have the good 'ol coffee cup holder/CD/DVD Drive, or the "Little jimmy put his toast in the floppy drive" - actually, as he's a kid I'll let him off. Also, the people who are convinced that their age old 5-1/4" floppy drive accepts their win98 upgrade CD... D'OH!
The best one I ever had, though off topic a bit, was a guy who had heard about using digital tv for the 'net and decided to buy a modem, then smashed it up trying to plug it into his VCR.... Ah well such is life.

I have had to file parts b4, due to man defect, woked fine afterward.
Dumb manufactor made a blacking plate too long didnt push all the way into the slot.
got plastic in the slot and the card dint fit.
why cant they fet it right.
And yes people are id10ts.
once saw a stick of ram pushed into a floppy drive i kid you not. person complianed the floppy didnt work opened it up and a stick of 4 meg 30 pin ram was stuck in it.
Phone cables in nic's all the time.
blown mic's from being stuck in the sound out.
mice and keyboard in the wrong ps/2 ports.
and worst off all floppies upsidedown.
also a manufact defect pin holes on a 486 board were lass that .1mm too small had to force it worked fine though. could never get the cpu back off the board. LOL...

I managed to put a serial port card in my Tandy 1000SX so I could a mouse in SimCity. (I was addicted to the game!) The expansion slots were standard 8-bit ISA but the slot covers were a proprietary design. After some -minor- modifications to the card with a hacksaw, and pliers, I was able to put it in. And it worked awesome!

Can't argue with that logic. The sad thing is, very few people prove otherwise in my court.

I believe this sums it all up quite clearly

I have seen a lot of bent up PS/2 mouse and keyboard ends. Twist em, push em, heck those pins bend easy ! I show them the ends and how bent they are, and they are like. "Man, that stuff is fragile".

Worst I ever did was stick my monitor cable in upside down. Have no idea how I did it. I didn't force it or anything. I just plugged 'er in after getting a shiny new CD-ROM (a 2X), and...hmm...odd, there's no video. I looked, and I had the video upside down. Mashed a couple o' pins...
