What to do with a Unused computer ???
Finaly after 4 long days of fighting i manegd to make the new computer into work. <IMG SRC="smilies/biggrin.gif" border="0">
So now i have the Old one sitting and doing nothing....
What do you recomend to do with it???
I am curently thinking to make it into a DHCP/NAT server for the office (7 computers).
Computer config:
Dual PIII 800
ServerSet main board with 64Bit PCI Slot's
Dual channel U160 SCSI Adapter
512Mb PC133 Ram
SCSI system hard drive
Plextor CDRW 8X4X32 SCSI

donate it to the local RedCross or a local Fire Department who are always struggling for money yet never make money a condition for helping someone.

set it up as the first PC of many to the Auric and Scuba RENDER FARM...
or donate it to me for my video editing purposes

buy a whole bunch of raffle tickets and sell the tickets and raffle the computer off to the lucky winner.
that way you get some cash out of it or maybe even more money than what the computer is originally worth <IMG SRC="smilies/tongue.gif" border="0">

If you're gonna sell it, eBay is the place to get the best current value for it. I work in a Computer Renaissance and I'll be honest in telling you you couldn't get half of it's market value from us. Such a machine would be unsellable used in our store. However, over the Internet you've got a much wider selection of people looking for that sort of thing.

If it belongs to your company, you might be
able to score points with the boss by giving
the computer to a school or charity, which
your company can then claim as a 'charitable
donation' and get tax credit for it.
Maybe...

Id setup Linux and run a web server off of it, and maybe a half life server and quake server, and ut server and tribes 2 server humm what else, theres to many servers <IMG SRC="smilies/smile.gif" border="0">

Set it up as a spam server and continually send spam to that congressman who was insisting that spammers have a first amendment right to freedom of speech.
