Smile Poor computer takes the blunt of husbands rage

You can check out this poor system here: http://ccshick.dhs.org/deadsystem/

Seems the woman was spending too much time on the net (or looking at stuff she wasn't supposed to, I couldn't get her to tell me) and the husband got mad, drug the system out to the backyard, and beat it with a sledgehammer.

If it is a typical WD drive I bet it does not even spin up now. Wonder how hard it would be to get an RMA for that one...

So far, the only good piece of hardware I've been able to get out of it is a 64mb pc100 ram chip. Everything else is pretty much broken. Even the pcu (PIII 550) is cracked. About half of the contacts on the cpu are broken off of the circuit board.

Driverguy should have this on his front page and ask for captions. Its a lot funnier than burger boy. Shawn can you get on it?

Too funny, although I admit wanting to do smash a computer before. Is it an E-Machine?

Couldn't be an E-Machine, that had a WD drive not a Samsung or whatever the flavor of the week is for those high quality machines!!! A guy did this because of his wife? Are you sure he wasnt trying to fix a Windows BSOD?

I don't belive that her husband did this. I reckon it was a major system crash that caused it Typical MS operating system

We had one in several weeks ago that an irrate husband did some damage to, but he just picked it up and threw it. They got lucky, the only damage was a bent case that was still usable and when he threw it, the monitor was still attatched, and it ripped the cable out of the monitor, so we soldered a new connector to the monitor mainboard and all worked fine....amazing!!
