I just got this installed last night and it ROCKS! It is basicly a Wireless DSL connection (oxymoron if I ever saw one) and I was impressed with it's speed and bandwidth. A 192k upload and a 2MB download...WHOA!! If anyone is looking for a good high speed connection this is a great option for anyone.

The only bad thing is the equipment...it's a small 13" dish, but it's attached to a 6' pole out of the roof of my house! Looks like a miniture TV antenna
I still have to find out how well it works in bad weather, but so far so good!

And for the gamers out there, I was getting about 55ms for pings!

Welcome to the world of Sprint Broadband Mahdi. Fortunately Arizona was the initial testing ground (Phoenix then followed by Tucson). I've been cruising for almost a 1½ years now. Just regular rain and wind doesn't bother it at all. A severe thunderstorm will have an affect. I would say that I have probably lost 4 hours of down time in last year.

I used to install the service here in metro Detroit area for a contract company. There was once instance where I was installing one and someone who already had the service was next door. One of their guys who was bringing in something from outside asked me if his neighbor (the one I was installing it on) was getting the Sprint service and I said yeah. He walked inside telling a fellow coworker and laughing that their neighbor was getting the service. It sounded like it began off as a good service and went downhill for them. And these people could see the tower where the main antennas are.

In my opinion that job sucked. We started off with 8 and now they have 3. What does that tell you?

In some areas I can see it taking off, but in general, the way Sprint did business, I personally wouldnt suggest the service to anyone.... even if it was in an awesome service area.

I've been reading some interesting stuff on this over the weekend. Seems like they have a really bad habit of overloading the circuits over time. So it is fast not, but I should expect it to slow down some over time

Also over at <a href="http://www.planetunreal.com" target="_blank">www.planetunreal.com</a> they had an artical on how (recently) Sprint decided to 'redirect' port 7777. This happens to be the port that Unreal Tournament uses as default...DOH!
That explains why I've only been able to connect to 1 of 10 UT servers...Reading the forums about this issue, there are a lot of people P.O.'ed and are talking of lawsuits and boycots. Yikes!
